Proofs of Allah's Oneness abound in the Creation of the Heavens and the EarthAllah reminds us of the creating of the higher and lower worlds,وَالسَّمَآءَ بَنَيْنَـهَا(We constructed the heaven.) meaning, `We made it as a high roof, protected from falling,'بِأَيْدٍ(with Hands), meaning, with strength, according to `Abdullah bin `Abbas, Mujahid, Qatadah, Ath-Thawri and several others,وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ(Verily, We are able to extend the vastness of space thereof.) means, `We made it vast and We brought its roof higher without pillars to support it, and thus it is hanging independently.' (And We have made the earth a Firash), meaning, `We have made it a resting place for the created,'فَنِعْمَ الْمَـهِدُونَ(how excellent a spreader (thereof) are We!), meaning, `We spread it for its inhabitants,'وَمِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ(And of everything We have created pairs,) meaning, all the created are in pairs, the heaven and earth, night and day, sun and moon, land and sea, light and darkness, faith and disbelief, death and life, misery and happiness, Paradise and Fire, in addition to the animals and plants. The statement of Allah the Exalted,لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ(that you may remem- ber.) and know that the Creator, Allah, is One without partners,فَفِرُّواْ إِلَى اللَّهِ(So, flee to Allah.) meaning, seek shelter with Him and trust in Him in all of your affairs,إِنِّى لَكُمْ مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌوَلاَ تَجْعَلُواْ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَـهاً ءَاخَرَ(Verily, I am a plain warner to you from Him. And set not up any other god along with Allah.) do not associate any partners with Him,إِنِّى لَكُمْ مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ(Verily, I am a plain warner to you from Him.)
Proofs of Allah's Oneness abound in the Creation of the Heavens and EarthThe preceding verses mentioned the reality of the Hereafter and the Judgment Day, and the punishment of those who denied the reality. The present set of verses reaffirm the perfect power of Allah, reminding us about the reality of the Day of Resurrection and allaying the doubt and suspicion of those who deny the reality. It proves the oneness of Allah and reiterates emphatically to believe in the Messenger ﷺ . (And the sky was built by Us with might, and indeed, We are the One who expands.... 51:47). The word aidin, according to Sayyidna Ibn ` Abbas ؓ ، means strength or power in this context.

We describe the Dark Energy Survey (DES), a proposed optical-near infrared survey of 5000 sq. deg of the South Galactic Cap to ~24th magnitude in SDSS griz, that would use a new 3 sq. deg CCD camera to be mounted on the Blanco 4-m telescope at Cerro Telolo Inter-American Observatory (CTIO). The survey data will allow us to measure the dark energy and dark matter densities and the dark energy equation of state through four independent methods: galaxy clusters, weak gravitational lensing tomograph
This white paper describes the LSST Dark Energy Science Collaboration (DESC), whose goal is the study of dark energy and related topics in fundamental physics with data from the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST). It provides an overview of dark energy science and describes the current and anticipated state of the field. It makes the case for the DESC by laying out a robust analytical framework for dark energy science that has been defined by its members and the comprehensive three-year work
This white paper gives an overview of the proposed Gemini/Subaru Wide-Field Multi-Object Spectrograph (WFMOS) and the proposed redshift surveys of 2.6 million galaxies with 0.5<z<3.3 over 2000 deg^2 of sky. These surveys will probe the baryonic acoustic oscillations in the galaxy power spectrum with unprecedented precision and over a range of redshifts and deliver dark energy w(z) constraints an order of magnitude better than current limits. We discuss the requirements on precursor observations
We use cosmology-independent measurements of the expansion history in the redshift range 0.1 < z <1.2 and compare them with the Cosmic Microwave Background-derived expansion history predictions. The motivation is to investigate if the tension between the local (cosmology independent) Hubble constant H0 value and the Planck-derived H0 is also present at other redshifts. We conclude that there is no tension between Planck and cosmology independent-measurements of the Hubble parameter H(z) at 0.1 <
This paper explores the dark energy phenomenon within the context of $f(R,L_m)$ gravity theory. Two specific non-linear $f (R, L_m)$ models are considered: $f(R,L_m)=\frac{R}{2}+L_m^α$ and $f(R,L_m)=\frac{R}{2}+(1+αR)L_m$, where the parameter $α$ is free. Here, we adopt a parametrization form for the Hubble parameter in terms of redshift $z$ as $H(z)=H_0 \left[A(1+z)^3+B+ε\log(1+z)\right]^\frac{1}{2}$, which allows for deviations from the standard $Λ$CDM model at both low and high redshifts. We
The Quran (51:47) states: 'And the heaven We built with might, and indeed, We are its expanders.' The Arabic musi'un comes from wus'a meaning 'to expand.' Edwin Hubble discovered the expanding universe in 1929 CE through observation of galaxies' redshift. The Quran's statement was made 1,300 years before this discovery. This verse is among the most frequently cited Quranic examples of scientific knowledge, though scholars note the verse's primary meaning is about Allah's power and greatness.
